Soulseller Khan looks like a 21st century Klaus Nomi but his electronic blues rocks like hell. I first heard of him through a collaboration with Julee “Twin Peaks” Cruise who quotes: “My dog thinks Khan’s music is Devil music…” He’ll be playing live at Sonar in a couple of months.

Corneel tagged me with a musical chain thing asking for ten tracks that makes me happy. Damn, I never thought this would be so tough because of a serious lack of time and an overload of happymakers in my library. what makes them happy?

Speak & Spell was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid and I think this is how I started to learn English. It was a revolutionary toy at that time where you had to guess what the machine said with a weird voice and type it in. I was lucky enough to have one because my mom was a stewardess, so she brought it back from one of her overseas flights. This was one of the many advantages, next to free tickets and being able to sit inside the cockpit during a whole flight, of having a mom stewardess…But Speak & Spell has also become one of Pete Edwards‘ favorite toys. He has started Casper Electronics where he tweaks toys into crazy instruments…wicked!
