A friend of mine tipped me a while ago on these documentaries but I didn’t had the time to watch them lately…so last week i finally had the chance to view Searching for the wrong-eyed jesus and Dancing outlaw. The first one is about music, religion and Jim White while Dancing outlaw is about a tap-dancer called Jesco White. What do they have in common? Well they both portray the American south and its strong religious influence, the music and the trailer park trash…Now that I’ve seen them I know why I felt a little uncomfortable to get out of my car when I was in Tennessee back in 2004 for a 2-day trip. I arrived in Nashville, rented a car, drove 600 miles heading south on a road where my only encounters were trailer parks and churches with religious messages alongside the road…
